broke back billy
Well, after an excruciating Thursday, today was much better. Yesterday, I ran out of gas while delivering two buildings to Weatherford (Note: I did not run out of gas because of lack of competence on my part, but rather, because of a faulty gas gauge in the truck) and had a horrific experience. I started walking toward, what I believed to be, the nearest town to me. Yep, I was walking down the I-20 access road in search of fuel. Good thing it was daytime! Because I'm so tired and sleepy, I am going to wrap this up. I walked two miles in a direction which did not produce a gas station. So, I had to walk those two miles back to the truck and then two miles the other direction to the "real" gas station. Several other ridiculous circumstances ensued that helped lead to another really long day that was incredibly frustrating. Lucky for me I am an optimistic head-strong man or I would have had a breakdown while being broke down right there on the side of the highway. Keep praying for me all my peeps! I'm averaging about 14 hours every day and make it home to kiss the girls right before they're asleep. This getting going is brutal but I know it is going to be well worth it in the long run. In the famous words of Tigger, "T-T-F-N Tah Tah for now, hoo-hoo hoo-hoo!"

Yes, it will be worth it. God is working out the coming true of your dreams, day by day, minute by minute, sweat drop by sweat drop, tear by tear, laugh by laugh, muscle ache by muscle ache. Faithful = Fruitful.
Man Billy,
I have walked a stretch of I-20 broken down once. Not fun at all!
I will keep praying.
Well, sounds like you have had some stuff stolen from you. Take it back. I ran out of gas this week too, but had the fortune of a downhill ride all the way to a gas station.
I guess your cell didn't work all the way out there...Just think, you could have paid to go to a gym do all that exercising but you got to do it for FREE!! I like the way you're thinking.
Ugh! Kevin had a very long killer commute for a season (He left before 6 and got home after 7 every day). It was terrible. It really wore on us (and our car). It was at least as bad as all the years he worked nights and was busy all day too. I really took comfort in reading the New Testament about how fulfilling God's plans costs...it cost the early disciples their families and lives...It made me feel like such a whiner. Sometimes it seems like (when we just look around) no one else is paying the cost like we are. In my experience, that is a lie from the enemy. Everyone has to pay a cost for serving Christ, everyone has to pick up their cross, its not fun but it should be a pleasure because we know why we are enduring (to see the purposes and plans of the Father unfold!) It is so hard to perservere through these seasons! I think God teaches us to be content in all things, and to find JOY in Him aways. I'm excited to see your destiny unfold Billy!
